Recent crises in the Middle East and North Africa (coups, electoral violence, revolutions and uprisings) are increasingly being addressed in innovative and complex ways. This course examines the mechanics of transition through a comparative approach and scrutinizes the roles of the African Union, the League of Arab Nations, and the United Nations.
