In addition, slides from a presentation by David Woodward of the Career Center on job search strategies for Political Economy students are available here. A couple of key take-aways: 1) 80% of jobs are filled via the “hidden job market” and not the visible job market. 2) That puts a premium on the “self-directed job search,” i.e. networking. Woodward also has some great advice for resumes and cover letters.
